Publishing Assets on Mutiny
You’ve got some assets ready to ship; let’s explore how to publish and share your assets to start driving meaningful interactions.
Publishing your asset
To publish your asset, click Share Externally in the top right of the editor, then click Publish from the menu.
From this menu, you can also change the URL slug, and if your plan allows, set up email or password gating through smart access control.
Advanced publish settings
From the Share Externally menu, you can open advanced publish settings to override the page title, description, and preview image on a per-asset basis. You can also add custom HTML for scripts specific to just this asset (these do not apply across all your assets), export the asset as a PDF, or export a thumbnail.
If you’re building a PDF asset, this is where you would export it, either instead of or in addition to keeping it live on the web.
Distributing your Asset
Use Copy Link in the top bar to grab a direct link to the asset once it’s published.
Configuring asset sharing settings
Default image, page title, and page description control how your asset appears when its link is shared or previewed. These three settings are worth filling out carefully, as they determine the preview card people see when you share a link.
These org-wide defaults live in your Mutiny settings. You can override any of them for a single asset from Share Externally > advanced publish settings in the editor.
Unpublishing an Asset
To unpublish an asset, click the three-dot menu ... on the asset card, select Archive
A modal will pop up asking if you want to unpublish and archive, or archive while keeping the asset live
